教授 Azizi Arrington-Bey joined the 部门 of Built Environment at Indiana State University as an Assistant 教授 of Interior Architecture Design in August 2011. Pofessor Arrington-Bey is now an Associate 教授 and Program Coordinator of Interior Architecture Design. In 2013, 教授 Arrington-Bey passed her last exam and became a licensed architect. At that time, she was 1 of 296 African American Female Architects in the US.

Prior to joining the IAD program at ISU, 教授 Arrington-Bey was a project manager at Johnson Peterson Architects in Tallahassee, 佛罗里达. In addition to her professional career, she had an interest in academia and spent her evenings teaching as an adjunct professor for five years at 佛罗里达 A&M University and Tallahassee Community College. She has extensive knowledge of codes, construction documents and expertise in CAD and Revit. She became registered interior designer after completing the NCIDQ in 2014. Her research focuses on environmental design and design pedagogy. With a focus on design theory, she encourages students to think about the poetic experiences their designs are creating.
